Sunday's Hunt

BUTTON
button hands
Gran had this old cookie tin.  Inside were the most beautiful assortment of buttons I've ever seen.  Ornate, colorful, small, large, shiny bobbles just waiting for Gran to choose them for her next project.  It was fun to dip my hands in the buttons and slide each through my fingers.  The textures each teased my fingertips and the variety teased my eyes.  I wonder who inherited those buttons...
BEVERAGE
tea for me
There's something quite soothing about a hot cup of tea when my throat hurts.
SEVENTIES
70s polaroid
I'm a child of the eighties... but what I remember most about many of the images my parents saved in their flip albums are polaroids. (Mind you, these are not the good albums which feature 110 and 35mm film prints that are pretty impressive.)
FOG
snow fog
Not too many foggy days in my photographic archives... but I thought the falling snow in this picture created a similar mood...
TEXTURE
1.26 (texture)
I was trying out my cerebral faculties on this one.  There was something so intriguing by the patterns of my three point turn into my driveway and a neighbor's treck home.  Certainly, there is texture in the grit of the road, the tossled snow, and the gathering sleet.

These are all great shots! It's really hard to choose a favorite, but I think I'll say the tea or the fog.

Oh-- my favorite is the button shot, but not for the button-- the hands that hold them are so wonderful.

I love the buttons shot for the same reason that kbreints likes it! I think you texture shot is fab, too. I like the tracks of your 3-point turn (Hah! I remember having to do this for my driving test).

i am impressed out of my mind about the three point turn : ) Very creative! Such a great shot. Fascinating!

And the buttons. Don't even get me started on those gorgeous buttons. I love that shot so much : )

I bet it is so fun to look through pictures from your families albums for the 70's : ) I was born in '76 so I suppose that makes me child of the 80's as well.

You always do such a great job. I love your pictures. Wishing you a happy week! We are going to get more snow, so maybe you will be able to find some fog shots then : ( Love, Becky

Wonderful photos! My grandmother used to have button jars that were filled with all sorts of treasures too. I love the polaroid, and great expression! The tea looks heavenly, and the shadow in the "foggy" snow is just great.
