Mommy has located the bins she stored the holiday things in...
We braved the cold of the garage to hunt for the traditional tree. (Because really, though I would love the photos of Ya and Chi wielding saws or axes cutting down a sweet sapling, who wants to figure out how to keep a real tree looking lovely?)
This year, Ya helped Chi put the ornaments on instead of taking each one she had carefully placed off.
And Chi took a second evening to arrange, adjust, and embellish.
I think it is simply lovely - - especially as we share memories of the special ornaments we've gathered over the years or made ourselves.
It's really not about the tree or the lights.
It's about continuing family traditions, spending time together, and reminiscing.
And yes, we know that the real reason for this season is to celebrate the Birth, the promise, and the love.
