Resurrection Day!

It was an early wake up call this morning for our family. The alarm was set to ring at 4:10 a.m., giving just enough time to bundle up in our Easter finest for Sunrise Service. We stood on the waterfront watching the sun rise as our pastor preached about faith.

The sermon? Through Him, we shall find victory over death. Death is not, then, a time of sadness, but the beginning of life anew. And life, so long as we believe in the Resurrection, is richer.

The weather cooperated with little trace of the previous day's rain. The birds were chirping merrily. The flowers were in bloom. Now if only the dawn of day wasn't so cold... The ground wasn't so dangerous to steadily sinking heals... The sleeping Ya wasn't so heavy to hold... Then, it'd be a more beautiful morning.

Romans 6:8-11 (New International Version)

8Now if we died with Christ, we believe that we will also live with him.

9For we know that since Christ was raised from the dead, he cannot die again; death no longer has mastery over him.

10The death he died, he died to sin once for all; but the life he lives, he lives to God.

11In the same way, count yourselves dead to sin but alive to God in Christ Jesus.
