What would you do for a photo?

Look out squirrels!  When it comes to cute quotients, chipmunks have you beat.  It seems they also have you beat with elusiveness.

But I have patience (thanks to motherhood), so I don't mind sitting in the grass as still as can be with my camera trained on an almost invisible hole under a red brick in my parents' front yard.  Munk can peek and flee as much as he wants, and I'll still be here...

And though I may miss him... once... twice... three times...  I will eventually get Munk on camera (though he may be blurry ::gasp::)

Doesn't holding all those nuts in his mouth hurt his cheeks?

Surely it's safer to run to the hole instead of retreating the way you came?

Ha! Got him.  Or... got the grass... but he's there....

And then, gone.
